I am first and foremost in love with traveling. I've seen about 18 countries during my lifetime and hope to travel most of the world before I hit my 30th birthday (I've only got 5 years left!). 

I work as a travel ICU nurse to fund my love of travel, and am passionate about nursing in general. One of my daily goals is to try to give patients something more than what they expect -- to exceed what we feel is the standard. 

I'm also in love with learning new languages -- I speak 4 now (English, Japanese, Tagalog, and Spanish) and I'm looking to learn Chinese soon. Watch out! 

Education has always been my obsession since I was young, but I recently realized that though I love nursing -- I don't want to go to grad school for it, haha. I'd like to get an MBA, but I have mixed feelings as to why -- mainly because I just want that kind of knowledge because I think it'd be more useful to me in life than a graduate nursing degree would be. My goal in the past was to improve nursing as a practice, but I realized that even tantamount to that was my love for travel. Eventually, I'd like to open up a hostel and a bar somewhere in Asia and give other travelers a place to meet one another and share great experiences. For the meantime, nursing is just a means for me to achieve this goal (and not a bad one at that!). 

If you're wondering what the tagline above says, it reads: "Dare ni machigai wa aru, dakara enpitsu ni mo keshigomu ga tsuiteiru." It's a saying in Japanese that means, "anyone can make mistakes, that's why pencils have erasers." Life, love, and travel are constantly teaching me things about myself that I don't even know -- and though I make mistakes along the way, I never regret a lesson I've learned from one of them. よろしく！
